GRAZIA RAIMONDI
She completed her studies at the Conservatorio Martini di Bologna, graduating in violin with highest honors under the guidance of G. Adamo. She attended advanced courses with F. Gulli, S. Accardo, C. Romano and M. Raskin, earning the Diploma di Merito at the Accademia Chigiana di Siena. Thanks to a J.W. Fulbright scholarship, she studied with F. Gulli and R. Dubinsky at Indiana University, where she obtained an Artist Diploma. She won First Prize in several competitions, including the Rassegna Nazionale di Vittorio Veneto, the Ugo Conta Music Awards and the Sibelius International Competition at Indiana University. In 2012, she performed at Carnegie Hall in New York and at the Newport Music Festival, receiving three standing ovations. She has performed in trio with A. Pappano and L. Piovano and collaborated with artists such as G. Sollima, O. J. Laneri, M. Baglini, D. Sitkovetsky, F. Di Rosa, K. Fitz-Gerald, G. Mazzoccante, and A. Orvieto. She has given masterclasses in Japan, Thailand, Spain, and the United States, performing in prestigious concert halls. She was a member of I Solisti Veneti and I Virtuosi di Roma, collaborating with various orchestras. As concertmaster, she has worked with Orchestra da Camera di Padova, Musici Aurei, and Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana. Her recordings have been released by Tactus, Wide Classique and Eloquentia, receiving international awards and recognition. She currently teaches violin at the Conservatorio Martini di Bologna and performs on a 1783 G. Gagliano violin.
MICHELE MARELLI
Diploma with honors in clarinet from the Conservatorio di Alessandria, he further refined his studies with A. Hacker, S. Stephens and A. Damiens. He is regarded as one of the leading contemporary music soloists of his generation. In 2014, he received the “Una vita nella musica” award from Teatro La Fenice in Venice and has won prizes including the Valentino Bucchi, the Penderecki in Krakow, and the Logos Award. A pivotal aspect of his career was his collaboration with K. Stockhausen, spanning over a decade, during which he performed world premieres and recorded three CDs. He has appeared at festivals such as the Venice Biennale, the Tanglewood Festival, and the Ruhrtriennale and has collaborated with orchestras including the SWR Symphonie Orchester, the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto. He has worked with composers such as H. Lachenmann, G. Kurtág, I. Fedele, and M. Stroppa, performing numerous world premieres. His recordings for labels such as Decca, Wergo, and Stradivarius have received international recognition. He serves as Principal Clarinet of the Ensemble musikFabrik and Klangforum Wien. He is Artistic Director of the Biennale Koper in Slovenia, a researcher at the Universität der Künste, and a clarinet Professor at the Conservatorio di Genova.
CIRO LONGOBARDI
Finalist and Best Pianist at the Gaudeamus Competition in Rotterdam in 1994, and recipient of the Kranichsteiner Musikpreis at the Darmstadt Ferienkurse in the same year, he has performed as a soloist and chamber musician for major concert institutions, including Milano Musica, Rai Nuova Musica Torino, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Biennale di Venezia, Accademia Chigiana di Siena, Saarländischer Rundfunk Saarbrücken, Unerhörte Musik Berlin and many others. He has recorded for Stradivarius, Limenmusic, Mode Records, Rai Trade, Die Schachtel, Kairos, Piano Classics, EMA Vinci, Itinera and RMN Records. His awards include a Coup de Cœur from Radio France, a Special Critics’ Prize (Musica e Dischi), and a National Record Award (Amadeus 2012-2013). His album Electronic Music for Piano (Stradivarius) featuring works by John Cage was named “CD of the Month” and nominated for the National Record Award (Amadeus 2012–2013). His recording of the complete Notturni by Salvatore Sciarrino, coupled with Ravel’s Gaspard de la Nuit (Stradivarius), was cited by the prestigious British magazine Gramophone as one of the three benchmark recordings of the great Sicilian composer’s works. His complete recording of Messiaen’s Catalogue d’Oiseaux (Piano Classics) received the Premio Abbiati del Disco as Best Solo Repertoire Release 2018-2019 and was awarded five stars by the leading French magazine Diapason.
