Niccolò Corsaro

Niccolò Corsaro earned his Diploma in Viola at the Conservatorio L. Boccherini in Lucca in October 2022, graduating with top marks and honors under F. Merlini. He subsequently completed the Biennium of Advanced Viola Studies at the Accademia Perosi in Biella, under D. Rossi, achieving the final evaluation of “Excellent with Special Mention” in October 2024. He received the prestigious two-year scholarship offered by the Piero Farulli Association, performing with the Trio Kegelstatt in a W.A. Mozart concert at Palazzo Corsini. Since 2022, he has been Principal Viola of the National Orchestra of Italian Conservatories, having been a member since 2019. In 2022, he was appointed Principal Viola of the Italian Youth Orchestra, a role he had already earned in 2021, participating in concerts in Italy and abroad. He joined the Puccini Festival Academy in 2021 and subsequently became part of the festival’s official orchestra, performing in the opera seasons from 2022 to 2024. In December 2023, he appeared as the viola soloist in Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante K364 with the Tuscan Youth Orchestra, where he has been Principal Viola since 2019. Niccolò has attended masterclasses both as a soloist and chamber musician with esteemed teachers such as A. Zemtzov, O. Zoboli, A. Lieberman, and F. Di Rosa. He has performed at Lucca Classica, Festival Elba, Settecento Musicale Lucchese, Classica al Tramonto, Armonie della Sera, Young Euro Classic, and Livorno Music Festival. Since 2018, he has performed in duo with his brother Lorenzo in numerous concerts and competitions, often winning first prizes. As co-founder of the Trio Kegelstatt, he has performed throughout Italy, winning multiple top prizes at national and international competitions including Città di Palmanova, Città di Magliano Sabina, and Armonie della Sera. In 2024, he received the “Piero Farulli” Prize.

Lorenzo Corsaro

Lorenzo Corsaro graduated in Composition with top marks, honors, and special mention under P. Rigacci at the Conservatorio L. Boccherini in Lucca, where he is currently completing the final year of the Biennium in Piano under C. Palese. Over the years, he has participated in advanced courses as a soloist with teachers such as G. Andaloro and D. Ablogin, and in Chamber Music with D. Rossi, K. Spagnolo, and F. Di Cesare. He has served as collaborative pianist at several theaters, including Teatro del Giglio in Lucca, Teatro Verdi in Pisa, Teatro Goldoni in Livorno, Teatro Persio Flacco in Volterra, and Teatro Comunale Flavio Vespasiano in Rieti. He has also collaborated with orchestras such as the Italian Youth Orchestra and Orchestra Europa Incanto, and since 2021 has been collaborative pianist at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago. Lorenzo has performed chamber music in venues including Sala del Gonfalone in Rome, Università della Tuscia in Viterbo, Centro De Laugier in Portoferraio (Elba Island), Villa Bertelli in Forte dei Marmi, Teatro Verdi in Pisa, and Palazzo Ducale in Massa. As a soloist, he has given recitals at Teatro del Giglio and Festival Lucca Classica, and his own compositions have been performed at Teatro Goldoni in Livorno and Auditorium Boccherini. In 2024, his first chamber opera will be performed at Teatro San Girolamo in Lucca. Since September 2023, he has been a member of the Accademia di Montegral under the guidance of M. G. Kuhn.
