Tal Trio (Israel)
The Trio was founded in 1998 while Anna Keiserman, Gregory Ahss and Zvi Orlianski were students of the Rubin Music Academy in Tel - Aviv. In 1999 the Trio had won the highest given prize of a Chamber Music Competition that took place in the Rubin Music Academy. In 2001 the Trio had participated in the Daniel Quartet Festival in Holland and there the young artists worked with the Daniel Quartet and with Donald Weilerstein, playing many concerts too. The Trio had performed concerts throughout Europe and Israel, and also in a live radio concert. Tal Trio worked with Arie Vardi, Jonathan Zak, Haim Taub (the former leading violinist of the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra), Donald Weilerstein and Bernard Greenhouse (member of the Beaux Arts Trio). In December 2001, Tal Trio played in an important live concert from Jerusalem Music Centre. In May 2002 the Trio had won the first prize at the 7th international chamber music Competition“Primo Trio di Trieste”, in Italy (Trieste). From August 2002, Tal Trio will be ensemble in residence in Boston. In October they will be in Italy for their first tournée after the winner prize in Trieste.

Anna Keiserman - piano
Was born in Russia in 1973 and started playing the piano at the age of 6. On 1997 she had won the first prize of the most prestigious piano competition in Israel, named after François Shapira. Performed as a soloist with the major orchestras in Israel - Haifa symphonic orchestra, with the Israeli chamber orchestra and with the Rubin academy symphonic orchestra. Also played in many concerts in Israel and in a live radio concert as a soloist. She was invited by the Israeli composer Gil Shohat to play his special piano and orchestra piece for the Jerusalem festival. Participated in a youth concert in Mann auditorium in Tel - Aviv. Anna had been a recurring scholar of the America - Israel cultural foundation from 1988 to 1998. Graduated the Tel - Aviv music academy with honors and continued learning for solo degree at the Hannover school of music as a student of Prof. Arie Vardi.

Zvi Orlianski – Cello:
Was born is Israel. Graduated from the Rubin academy of music with honors, under the guidance of Prof. Uzi Weisel and Hillel Tzori. Currently he studies with Laurence Lesser at New England Conservatory. Appeared in many international festivals, among them the Verbier Festival, Switzerland, the Radolfzell Festival, Germany, and the Musica da Camera Festival in Tel-Aviv. As soloist he played with the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon Leziyon, the Ramat-Gan Chamber Orchestra, the Rubin Academy of Music Orchestra and the Thelma Yelin Symphony. Solo performances and recitals include the Schule Hall in Radolfzell, Germany, the Jerusalem music center, the Israeli president’s house, the Clairmont Hall in Tel-Aviv, and live recording of the Israel Broadcasting Authority, in which he performed the world-premiere of Israeli composer Uri Brener’s fantasy for cello and piano. First prize winner of the Rubin Academy of music competition for solo string players, and the Young Artists competition of the Israel Broadcasting Authority in chamber music. He had been a recurring distinguished scholar of the American-Israel cultural foundation from 1988 to 1998.

Gregory Ahss - Violin:
Gregory Ahss appeared in Europe, Japan, Israel and Russia as soloist and chamber music player. He played with the "Gnessin Virtuosi" in Suntory Hall Tokyo, Carter Symphony at the Clairmont Hall in Tel-Aviv, The Israeli Soloists and the Israel Kibbutz Orchestra, which he also led in the past years. His festival appearances include Verbier, Jerusalem Winter and the Israel Festival. Gregory is a winner of the "Ted Arison" String Players competition, String and Chamber Music Competition of the Tel-Aviv Rubin Academy, "Music Interpretation Prize" and the "Lions Club Europe" International Competition in Porto, Portugal. Native of Moscow, Gregory started to play violin at the age of 5 at the Gnessin School of Music in Moscow .In 1992 his family moved to Israel, were he continued his music education at the Israeli Music Conservatory and then at the Tel-Aviv Rubin Academy of Music. His principal teachers are Grigory Krasko, Lena Mazor and Irena Svetlova. Gregory also worked with Isaac Stern and Ivry Gitlis. He was invited by Donald Weilerstein to join his studio at the New England Conservatory in Boston. He is a recurring distinguished scholar of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation since 1993.
